Krista was a gymnast for 20 years and competed at Ithaca College in upstate New York where she earned a degree in Corporate Communications. She was also a gymnastics coach for many years at her former job at Planet Gymnastics in Natick, MA. When Krista found Pilates, she instantly fell in love. She says, “Pilates brings me home, back to the gym where I grew up. Just like the gym, the studio is a place where I get to improve my flexibility, work on my coordination, develop toned muscles and take time out of my day for me.”
Krista is eager to teach her students and watch them fall in love with the many benefits that Pilates offers just as she did. She holds a 500 hour Comprehensive Pilates Certification in the Classical Method through Peak Pilates International. In August 2022, Krista met Lolita San Miguel, one of two people to receive a Pilates certification from Joseph Pilates. Shortly after, Krista completed Lolita’s Pilates Master Mentor Program (PMMP) and was then selected to teach Lolita's Legacy™, a teacher training program developed by Lolita. The Pilates Point Studio is currently planning the first Legacy training to begin in the Summer of 2024.
Krista is also certified in Barre through Power Pilates, and loves teaching this energizing, upbeat class that incorporates dance, cardio, Pilates, and resistance training. Krista lives in Cumberland with her husband and two children.
