Pilates Mat: The Classical mat order exercises founded by Joseph Pilates will be taught and practiced. These moves strengthen your core, improve back pain, prevent future injury, increase your flexibility, and promote wellness. A Pilates Mat is provided for you to use during this class. This class is taught with no music so you can follow the rhythm of your breath and your instructor’s voice.
Take your traditional mat exercises to the next level with the all new Pilates Sticks. This body sculpting system, which incorporates leg springs and a Tower bar, adds intensity to your Pilates practice.
This Pilates Mat class will tone, shape, strengthen and lengthen your entire body utilizing stability balls, light hand weights, resistance bands, and fitness circle. Pilates with Props will follow the classical Pilates Mat order, and incorporate both beginning level modifications and advanced variations to ensure all participants get the best workout possible.
Barre Fusion is a full body workout that focuses on the small movements that provide big results when it comes to toning those trouble areas - glutes, thighs, and hips. The class will start and finish with breathing, stretching, and core work on the Pilates Mat. The larger part of the class will be taught at the barre, where you will learn how to improve your posture and work from your core.
This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try.
Yoga Tone is a Yinyasa practice designed to help build strength and endurance. Light weights and resistance bands may be used. Yinyasa is hybrid of yang (active yoga) with yin (passive yoga). We will combine gentle yoga to build strength, warmth and flow with fundamental yoga postures while relieving stress and tension by connecting breath with mindful movements.
A total body workout that focuses on strength & core exercises. This low impact class utilizes a mixture of dumbbells ,resistance bands and your own body weight to sculpt & define arms, back, legs, abdominals & glutes . Please bring athletic shoes for this class.
Every TPPS Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) class offers a complete, age-appropriate Yoga practice including breathing instruction, relaxation techniques, stretching and strengthening poses, all using fun-filled music, games, and imagination. KAY’s secret is our playfulness, keeping your child motivated, excited, and moving. This is not your typical Yoga class. A KAY class gets children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, limbo-ing, and storytelling ALL while practicing Yoga to original KAY music.Kidding Around Yoga classes are a unique opportunity to give your child skills that will provide a sense of balance, calm, and power for years to come.
