Joseph Pilates
The Pilates Point Studio is a small boutique style studio in Cumberland, RI that offers small group fitness classes specializing in Classical Pilates Mat, Barre, Yoga, Cardio Training, and more. We also offer private and semi-private training sessions on Pilates Equipment. We welcome all fitness levels and our staff is trained to modify exercises based on your individual needs. All instructors at The Pilates Point Studio have a minimum of 400 hours of training.
The Pilates Point Studio started as an idea to offer small Pilates Mat classes to local friends. Krista Perry, owner and instructor, opened her doors in April 2017 and the entire business has grown by word of mouth thus far. Shortly after opening, the studio grew to also offer Reformer, Tower, Barre, Yoga, Cardio, and Circuit Training, and now offers even more of a variety with classes like Zumba and Pound.
The success and growth of the studio has been exciting and contagious! We were blessed to be able to expand and open the doors of our beautiful and current location at 3415 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI in June 2018.
We have already added a few pop up classes to the November schedule. How many can you make?

Intro to Yoga Workshop with Tessa
Sunday December 3rd from 6:00-7:30pm (5:45 arrival) with Tessa.
Whether are brand new to yoga or just looking to refresh your practice, the intro to yoga workshop is right for yoI. Learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, including alignment and breath work.
Restorative Yoga Workshop with Tessa
Sunday December 17th from 6:00-7:30pm (5:45 arrival) with Tessa.
This workshop runs for 90 minutes and consists of slow flow yoga, yoga poses with props, general assistance, aromatherapy, and light message. This class is designed to fully relax the body and a lot of mine to fall into a meditative state.

Sunrise Flow & Rise and Shine Yoga w/ Tessa
What better way to welcome the morning then with a Vinyasa Flow. Class begins with gentle breathing and movement, building to an invigorating flow. Class will end with a peaceful meditation so that you feel more centered to begin the day. What to expect: 15 minutes of gentle movement and breathwork to calmly wake the body; 30 minutes of mindful Vinyasa flow leading to a weekly peak pose; and 10 minutes of guided rest. This class is intentionally designed to awaken the body and mind. Leave feeling refreshed. Hope to see you on the mat! All levels welcome.
Inside Flow Yoga w/ Lauren
Music drives the Inside Flow Yoga classes and frames the whole sequence. During the Inside Flow class, you gently move from one posture to another carried by the music, bringing you into a trance-like, almost meditative state. Movement and breath are ONE. You can't synchronize them because they come already together. You can only enhance your breath. When we practice, the key idea is the actual movement BETWEEN the postures, not the posture itself. The important thing is how you get to the posture. In Inside Flow, you are singing a song with your body. Every language has its benefits and your challenge is to find your own. Some people relax with punk rock and some with classical music. Your choice of music defines you and your practice. Inside Flow has different sequences with slow, fast, upbeat, relaxing songs starting from Hip Hop to pop music. It's wonderfully amusing and heartwarming.
